Role Overview

This role will provide vital legal, contractual and administrative support to enable the efficient and compliant delivery of Ryze Power’s clean hydrogen infrastructure projects. As the company scales rapidly, the legal team requires robust support to manage a growing volume of commercial agreements, governance documentation and internal legal workflows. The role holder will support the Head of Legal and wider business in mitigating legal risks, streamlining document execution and maintaining strong legal records and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities

Contractual Support

  • Draft, review and negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) using Ryze’s legal playbooks, ensuring consistency with company risk appetite.
  • Assist in reviewing commercial agreements, including terms for services, consultancy, equipment supply and logistics contracts, identifying key risks and proposing mitigations.
  • Support deal execution by coordinating internal approvals, preparing signing versions and managing Docusign workflows.
  • Maintain accurate contracts register, flagging renewal and expiry timelines and ensuring appropriate archiving and version control within the document management system.

Legal Operations & Administrative Support

  • Maintain legal template libraries and assist in the creation of contract playbooks for commonly used agreements.
  • Track legal requests and manage the team’s inbox or task tracker, helping prioritise work in alignment with business deadlines.
  • Conduct basic legal research, compile documents for legal opinions and assist in preparing briefings for internal stakeholders.
  • Liaise with commercial, finance and technical teams to gather relevant deal inputs and manage standard contractual review processes.

Compliance & Governance Support

  • Assist in maintaining statutory registers and ensuring Companies House filings are submitted on time.
  • Support the preparation of board and shareholder documentation, including resolutions, appointment paperwork and registers of interests.
  • Coordinate Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Bribery and conflict-of-interest compliance documentation for new partners or suppliers.
  • Contribute to legal and compliance awareness campaigns, policy updates and governance reporting across the group.
  • Help prepare legal inputs for internal reports, investor updates and project due diligence

Qualifications and Experience

  • UK Law degree (LLB or equivalent) as a minimum.
  • Paralegal qualification or demonstrable experience as a paralegal.
  • At least 1 year’s in-house legal experience.
  • Experience working with NDAs and commercial contracts.
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Experience in the energy, infrastructure, or technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with company secretarial or corporate governance processes.
  • Proficiency with legal document management or contract tracking systems is desirable.
